Church rummage sale

ATWOOD — Atwood Church will host a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12. The church is located at 10090 N US 31.

Jazz performance

EAST JORDAN — The East Jordan Music in the Park Concert Series will feature jazz quartet Square Moon, from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, July 11, in the Memorial Park Bandshell. The quartet consists of Roger Lilak on a Yamaha WX5 wind controller and electric bass, Ruben Shell on electric guitar, Haruki Hakoyama on electric bass and trumpet and Graham Fineout on drums.

The Friday Night Concert series continues through Aug. 15.

Taste of TC tickets

TRAVERSE CITY — Tickets are on sale now for the Taste of Traverse City Festival to be held throughout the Traverse City area, Friday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Aug. 31. Events include a “White House Dinner” featuring former White House executive chef Walter Scheib from 6:30 to 9 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

Single tickets for the White House dinner, including an autographed cookbook, are $125; couple tickets include one cookbook to share at $225; couple Presidential tables of 10 are $1,250 and include an autographed cookbook for each seat and table signage.

Harry Goldson concert

TRAVERSE CITY — The jazz sound of Harry Goldson and Friends will take center stage at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 17, on the Grand Lawn of Grand Traverse Pavilions. The concert is part of the Concert On The Lawn series.

The performance is free and open to the public. There will be picnic concessions beginning at 6:15 p.m. including grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, beverages, sweets and Moomer’s ice cream.
