---- — n The Rotary Club of Traverse City gave $1,000 to the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation to purchase a bench for the historic arboretum. The charitable donation is grant from the Rotary Good Work Fund, which is funded from money raised annually from the Rotary Show. The Fund supports projects that address the unmet needs in this area.

n Lane Plamondon, son of Dr. Thomas and Annmarie Kruse-Plamondon, was sworn into the Michigan State Bar and admitted to the State Courts of Michigan and the federal Western District Courts of Michigan on June 9.

Plamondon graduated from Thomas Cooley Law School and the University of Florida. He is currently practicing law in Grand Rapids.

n Mary Ann Behm accepted the position of program coordinator for Launch Manistee, a new initiative backed by organizations throughout the Manistee County area to support the success of children, students and the economic well-being of the county.
