TRAVERSE CITY — Rebecca Lessard from Wings of Wonder will provide an interactive raptor experience today, July 15, and also on Aug. 15 and Sept. 15, at the Dennos Museum Center, 1410 College Dr.
“A Birds’ Eye View” will feature live birds and is being sponsored in conjunction with the museum’s “Birds of Paradise: Amazing Avian Evolution” exhibit. TRAVERSE CITY — Athletic sports physicals will be offered for students who plan to try out for TCAPS athletic teams at the middle school or high school level for the 2013-14 school year.
Physicals will take place between 8 and 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at West Senior High School, 5376 N. Long Lake Road. Students should not drink caffeine prior to their physical. Physical cards are required and must be signed by parents and students in order for the physical to be performed.
The cost is $20 per athlete and checks should be payable to TCAPS. Physical cards are available at Central and West Senior High School athletic offices, at both middle schools and at all TCAPS elementary schools.
Kids’ garden classes
ELK RAPIDS — Pine Hill Nursery invites children to a series of interactive summer classes.
