Help Sandy victims

Acme — Spa Grand Traverse at the Grand Traverse Resort will donate $5 from every 50-minute spa treatment from Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 25, for relief to help victims of Hurricane Sandy through the American Red Cross.

Rock hounds meet

Traverse City — A program on "Tourmaline" by Karen Speirs and one on "Crabtree Emerald Mine" by Lauren Vaughn will highlight the Tuesday, Nov. 20, meeting of the Grand Traverse Area Rock & Mineral Club.

The group will meet at 7 p.m. at the History Center of Traverse City, 322 Sixth St.

Citrus fruit sale

Traverse City — The Traverse City Christian School athletic department is selling citrus fruit from the Golden Harvest Fruit Company.

Fruit orders and payment are due by noon Wednesday, Nov. 28. Delivery is Monday, Dec. 17.

Grapefruit is $17 for a half box; $32 for a large box. Florida navel oranges are $18 for a half box; $34 for a large box. Tangerines are $24 for a half box, and a variety pack of tangerines, grapefruit and oranges is $26.

Nominees sought

East Jordan — East Jordan is seeking nominees for Citizen of the Year.

Nominators are asked to describe their nominee's outstanding past and present community involvement, civic contributions, community contributions and other pertinent information.

The winter will be announced at the Jan. 26 East Jordan Chamber of Commerce annual meeting/dinner/auction.
