Music concert

BEAR LAKE — John and Kate Denner will give a concert Sunday, Feb. 24, during the 10 a.m. worship service at Bear Lake Christian Church on M-72. The public is welcome.

Successful Aging

TRAVERSE CITY — Sandi McArthur, education and outreach coordinator at Oryana Natural Foods Market, will discuss “Better Eating for Better Aging” at the Monday, Feb. 25, Successful Aging program.

The free program will start at 2 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Pavilions off South Elmwood Avenue. The series continues monthly through 2013. For details, call 932-3027.

PATH workshop

TRAVERSE CITY — Linda Cronk, M.A., C.F.L.E., from Michigan State University Extension will facilitate a Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) introductory program on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

The workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in meeting rooms A and B at Munson Community Health Center, 550 Munson Ave. It will introduce participants to this program designed to help improve quality of life and teach ways to positively manage long-term health problems.

After the introductory meeting, participants may sign up for the six-week series. Classes meet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, March 11-April 15, in Munson Community Health Center meeting room B.

Fracking forum

BENZONIA — The Benzie Conservation District will host a Fracking Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Health program

TRAVERSE CITY — Heather and Jeff Campbell from Shoreline Center for Healing will give a program on natural ways to improve mental, physical and spiritual health.

“Taking Control of Your Health” will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Shoreline Center for Healing, 402 S. Union St. For details or if planning to attend, call 946-HEAL.

Women’ program

BEAR LAKE — Guest speaker Thelma Wells will discuss the challenges Christian women face at a community fellowship event Saturday, March 2, at Bear Lake Christian Church.

The event will start at 10 a.m. at the church on M-72. The theme is “Unity in the Church: With One Heart.” Lunch will be provided and reservations are requested; call 258-6112.
