Northern Notes: Woman thanks those who helped after accident

In March, the project took the group to the Suttons Bay Bingham Fire and EMS Department. KidsZerve prepared and served dinner to the men and women of the department as a thank you for serving the community. The kids were then invited to help with the department’s regular skills training by acting as “victims,” while crew members simulated treating them for neck injuries and worked as teams to remove the “victims” from danger.

“This was such an amazing experiences for the kids. (They) came to serve and learned that in giving there is much to receive. Thank you, Suttons Bay Bingham EMS and Fire,” Penny Maleski wrote on behalf of KidsZerve.
