“My Parent and Me” yoga will meet at 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays in November, except Nov. 26. The cost is $5 per person per session payable to Livingston at the time of class. Parents must participate with their child. The first session is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Gentle Yoga sessions will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays in November. It is for adults and teens of all abilities. There is a $5 fee per session payable to Livingston at the time of each class. The first session is Wednesday, Nov. 6.

TRAVERSE CITY — People living in poverty have a chance to learn about ways to overcome poverty at an Opportunity Conference on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The conference, organized by the Traverse Bay Poverty Reduction Initiative, is designed to give people living in poverty a chance to develop support networks and make connections with “navigators” who can help them access the resources they need. It will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Bayview Wesleyan Church, 720 Wayne St. It includes a light breakfast, lunch and more. Poverty expert Dr. Donna Beegle will be the featured speaker.
