Mosaic workshop

TRAVERSE CITY — Scrap TC will offer a two-session workshop for anyone who wishes to learn mosaic techniques or improve their techniques.

The Mosaic Garden Stepping Stone workshop will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1 and 8, at Scrap TC, 821 Garfield Ave., near the UPS Store and Heavenly Ham. The cost is $10 per session. Payment must be by cash or check. No registration is required. Email to learn more.

Aging Commission

TRAVERSE CITY — The Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging board meeting starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the Commission on Aging office, 520 W. Front St., suite B. The public is welcome. For details or an agenda, call 922-4688.

‘Spring Fling’ art

TRAVERSE CITY — Blackbird Arts, 1485 Barlow St., is offering a “Spring Fling” series of classes during spring break.

Spring Break Art Camps will be held Tuesday, April 1, through Friday, April 4. Camp for children ages 4-6 meets from 9-11 a.m. and camp for ages 6-12 meets from noon-3 p.m. Master workshops for children ages 11-17 will meet from 3:30-6:30 p.m., with a different focus each day. This will allow older students to work intensively with master artists. Students can take one or all four.

Beginning Bridge

ALDEN — The Alden District Library and the Friends of the Library will sponsor a beginning bridge class.

Art series closes

TRAVERSE CITY — Paul Welch will close the inaugural “What is Art, Anyway” series sponsored by Artcenter Traverse City.
