Health enrollment help

TRAVERSE CITY — Michigan Primary Care Association will sponsor a free event on Sunday, March 23, to educate, answer questions and help community members enroll in health insurance prior to the Monday, March 31, deadline.

The event will be held from 12:30-4:30 p.m. at the Traverse Area District Library, 610 Woodmere Ave. Certified Application Counselors will be on hand to answer questions and help attendees explore insurance coverage available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, Healthy Michigan Plan, Healthy Kids and MIChild. Attendees should bring necessary documentation for enrollment.

Lenten Luncheons continues

TRAVERSE CITY — The public is invited to the next Lenten Luncheon sponsored by Church Women and Men United.

The soup, sandwich and dessert meal will be served at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster, followed by music at noon. The Rev. Ken Anderson of West Bay Covenant Church will give the Lenten message at 12:30 p.m.

A $3 donation is suggested. Proceeds benefit local missions. Attendees also are encouraged to bring signed Easter cards that will be distributed to local wounded veterans. The luncheon series continues on Thursdays through April 10.

Lenten services

TRAVERSE CITY — Lenten services continue on Wednesdays through April 16 at Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church.

Services start at 6 p.m. at the church, 16426 Center Road, and will be followed by a soup and bread supper at 6:30 p.m. For details, call 223-4393.

Wednesdays in Lent

TRAVERSE CITY — Bethlehem Lutheran Church is hosting soup and dessert dinners on Wednesdays during Lent.

The meal will be served at 6 p.m., each Wednesday at the church, 1050 Peninsula Dr. Children will meet from 6:45-7:30 p.m. to learn about Lent and complete a craft to take home, while the adults participate in a worship service.
