Petoskey — Crooked Tree Arts Center’s Holiday Arts Bazaar will continue through Dec. 19.

Toy drive

The gift of art

Holiday concerts

Traverse City — Northwestern Michigan College’s Community Band, Jazz Ensembles and Children’s Choir have scheduled performances.

The NMC Community Band will perform at 8 p.m. concert Friday, Nov. 30, in Milliken Auditorium. The NMC Children’s Choir concert is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 720 Second St. Also on Saturday, Dec. 1, the NMC Jazz Big Band, Jazz Lab Band and Jazz Vocal Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. in Milliken Auditorium. Tickets for each concert are available at the door and cost $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, free for NMC students.

‘Christmas Journey’

Williamsburg — New Hope Community Church will host “Christmas Journey” from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec.2 and Dec. 7-9, at the church, 5100 Bethesdal Ct. Visitors will see towns and scenes of the Bible recreated and populated with people and live animals. Donations are welcome.

Suttons Bay festival

Suttons Bay — The Suttons Bay Holiday Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

A holiday stroll will take place 5-8 p.m. Friday. Family Day is Saturday with a 1 p.m. movie at the Bay Theatre, 2-4:30 p.m. activities at ISEA, and carols, Santa’s arrival and a tree-lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. Sunday includes Antlers & Elves at Enerdyne, a 3 p.m. Christmas concert at Suttons Bay Congregational Church, and a Cookie Extravaganza 1-4 p.m. at the Friendship Center.

Seasonal concerts

Leelanau County — The Leelanau Community Choir will present a variety of seasonal songs and carols at their annual Christmas concert series.

The choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Leland’s Immanuel Lutheran Church, 303 E. Pearl St. Performances on Sunday, Dec. 2, are at 3 p.m. at Suttons Bay Congregational Church, 218 Madison, and 7 p.m. in Glen Arbor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6012 Lake St.

Christmas trees

MAPLE CITY — The Cedar/Maple City Lions Club is selling fresh-cut Christmas trees. Lions will be available to help noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16. Créches and carols

Wineries help others

Traverse City — Saturday, Dec. 8, the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula will host a “Day of Giving.”

All seven member wineries will donate 15 percent of gross sales that day to select nonprofit organizations. An additional $500 also will be contributed to each nonprofit.

Handel’s ‘Messiah’
