TRAVERSE CITY — Nonprofit organization Scrap TC will host two fused-glass workshops on Saturday, Feb. 1, with local glass artist Deb Coburn.
The first class, “Love Bugs & Pendants,” will meet from noon-1:30 p.m. The $18 cost includes three take-home items.
A “Glass Pocket Wall Vase” class meets from 2-3:30 p.m. The $24 cost includes one vase to take home.
Scrap TC is located in the Garfield Centre, 821 S. Garfield Ave. Payment is by cash or check and registration is required. Proceeds will be split between Scrap TC and Coburn.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Community Cinema Series continues on Thursday, Feb. 6, in Milliken Auditorium at the Dennos Museum Center, 1410 College Dr.
The documentary “Las Marthas” will be shown at 7 p.m. and will be screened with captions. It explores the 114-year-old rite of passage in Laredo, Texas, where Mexican-American debutantes are presented at a grand Colonial ball dressed as American revolutionaries.

Wine & Vine Experience
LELAND — “Another Winter Wine & Vine Experience” will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Old Art Building, 111 Main St.
Tables will be decorated by community members to create tablescapes and there will be an exhibit of art by Matt Gricar and Kristia Converse. A sneak preview of the tablescapes and art will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Donations will be accepted for this viewing.
The main event will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a unique flight of Leelanau wines paired with gourmet appetizers from Martha’s Leelanau Table.
Viticulturist and winemaker Larry Mawby will discuss the unique qualities of the wine that enhance the food.
