Small Potatoes

BEULAH — Small Potatoes will give two concerts in northern Michigan.

The folk duo will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Brookside Inn, 115 N. Michigan, Beulah. Tickets are available in Beulah at the Brookside Inn, East Shore Market and Sugar Moon Cafe, and in Frankfort at the Corner Drug. Tickets and details also are available by calling 882-9688.

Small Potatoes also will give a concert in Traverse City at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Sleder’s Family Tavern, 717 Randolph St., Tickets are available at the tavern, Brilliant Books, West Side Beverage, Oryana Natural Foods or by calling Sleder’s, 947-9213.

Tickets for each concert are $15 in advance; $20 at the door.

Seed exchange

CADILLAC — A seed exchange and seed saving workshop with Craig Schaaf from Golden Rule Farm will be held Thursday, March 21.

The program, rescheduled from February, will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Northwood Feed on Boon Road. Attendees may bring seeds they wish to share and a snack. For details, visit

Easter Egg Hunt

TRAVERSE CITY — Fellowship Church and Little Ones Preschool invites the community to a free Easter Egg Hunt.

Bluebird class

BELLAIRE — Grass River Natural Area will offer a bluebird class on Saturday, March 23.

Bluebird expert Tom Comfort will share information about the habits and habitats of bluebirds at 1 p.m. at the natural area, 6500 Alden Highway. The class is $5 per person and registration is required. For details or to register, call 533-8314 or visit

TRAVERSE CITY — The Boardman River Nature Center will offer a spring break preview of its summer camp themes and also hold a special session of its Peepers program.
