'No-touch' rule precludes love

---- — In early childhood education there is a controversy over whether you should be able to touch a child in an early childhood setting. I do not think a "no touch" policy should be enforced in preschool and day care settings. Some children don't receive enough attention at home. Children need to feel that touch and love from their someone. They may even hear hurtful words. Children in these instances need to hear and feel positive things in their lives. When an adult figure, such as a teacher, can show them this, it is very beneficial in the child's life.
