June 02, 2009 07:00 am YMCA sets summer hours, programs TRAVERSE CITY -- The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA Main Facility, located at 3000 Racquet Club Drive in Traverse City, will be open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and is closed Sundays. Readers awarded at celebration TRAVERSE CITY -- Students from Old Mission Peninsula School will celebrate the success of obtaining a reading challenge June 3. Each student who met their reading challenge will be presented with a metal "Oscar" statue similar to the statue that is presented to winners of Academy Awards. The "Oscar" statue will be presented to students on the Red Carpet by "Young Elvis," Jake Slater, who will also perform at the celebration. Call Charmaine Dressler at 933-7462 for details. WSCC enrolling adults for ALL SCOTTVILLE -- The West Shore Community College Academy of Lifelong Learning (ALL) will offer a wide variety of workshops and seminars throughout the summer semester.
