---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Six people sustained non life-threatening injuries in a three-car crash in East Bay Township.
Michigan State Police troopers said a Grand Traverse County woman drove a pickup truck carrying a male passenger west on U.S. 31 between 3 and 4 Mile roads Wednesday and crossed into oncoming lanes, where she collided with two vehicles traveling east.
A vehicle carrying a man, 26, of Williamsburg, was struck. He was not seriously injured, police said.
The second vehicle carried three family members. A woman, 23, in the back seat sustained lacerations to her face. Two men in the front seat received minor injuries.
The female pickup truck driver was admitted to the operating room at Munson Medical Center. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening. The male passenger was treated and released, police said.
All parties were transported to Munson Medical Center. Authorities have not released their identities.
Police continue to investigate.
Troopers were assisted by the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department, North Flight, Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department and Michigan State Police out of Houghton Lake.
