TC West (4-3, 4-1 BNC) at Gaylord (0-7, 0-4 BNC), Friday, 7
The Titans have to win this game and then their Week Nine matchup with 6-1 Allendale in order to punch their ticket into the playoffs. West has 3 wins over teams. 500 or better, so it’ll have a shot at getting in at 5-4. That could match the Titans up with nemesis Rockford in the opening round of the Division 1 playoffs.
Ogemaw Heights (5-2, 2-2 BNC) at TC Central (4-3, 2-2 BNC), Friday, 7
This is big for both teams. Central needs to win out to make the playoffs and closes out with undefeated Cadillac. Ogemaw has to beat either the Trojans this week or Petoskey next week to get in, and neither will be an easy victory to ring up.
Alpena (1-6, 0-4 BNC) at Petoskey (4-3, 2-2 BNC), Friday, 7
Petoskey has to have this win to have a playoff shot. The Northmen finish the regular season at Ogemaw Heights (5-2), a game that could take on additional meaning if Petoskey wins tonight.
Elk Rapids (5-2, 3-1 LMC) at Boyne City (6-1, 4-0 LMC), Friday, 7
This is the start of a two-week gauntlet for the Ramblers, who finish the regular season at 6-1 Grayling. Boyne needs to win this one to make next week’s matchup a Lake Michigan Conference championship game. Elk Rapids has 5-2 Kalkaska in the final week, so they need to win one of these two games to guarantee a playoff spot for the fifth time in the last eight years.
Grayling (6-1, 4-0 LMC) at East Jordan (4-3, 1-3 LMC), Friday, 7
East Jordan needs this game to have a shot at the playoffs. Grayling needs it to set up a Lake Michigan championship game in Week Nine against Boyne City. Grayling is averaging 39.1 points a game in its six wins this season, while the Red Devils only put up 13 points in consecutive losses to Kalkaska, Elk Rapids and Boyne City before ringing up 42 on Marion last week.
