Arts Series

LELAND — Chamber Music North has arranged “Classics with a Kick,” which will be performed by Traverse Symphony Orchestra musicians on Sunday.

The concert, part of the Performing Arts Series, will start at 3 p.m. at the Old Art Building, 111 Main St. Tickets are $20 and may be reserved by calling 256-2131 or visiting www.mynorthtickets.com.

Art auction

PETOSKEY — North Central Michigan College Foundation will hold an art auction featuring art from the estate of Jack Harris, a longtime friend and supporter of the college.

A reception and art viewing starts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday followed by the auction at 2:15 p.m. To view art prior to the auction, visit www.ncmich.edu and click on “Art Auction.” Anyone interested in purchasing an item prior to the auction may do so at the appraised price. Hospice benefit

WILLIAMSBURG — LochenHeath Golf Club will host its third annual Chip in For Hospice charity golf tournament for Munson Hospice on Friday, Sept. 20.

Parents’ night out

KALKASKA — The Peoples Church of Kalkaska, 216 S. Cherry St., is offering to watch children so parents can enjoy a night out.

Certified professionals will care for children from 6-9 p.m. on Saturdays, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 9 and Dec. 7. Parents also can leave their children at the church from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, so they have time to shop for Christmas presents.

Activities include board games, a movie, outdoor games, foosball and air hockey. There also are nursery toys and treats. All parents need to do is make a reservation, sign their children in and fill out a medical form before leaving for an evening out as a couple.
