Blues set to host Tri-City on Saturday

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Bay Blues (1-1) have a big match on tap Saturday against The Tri-City Barbarians.

The Blues (1-1) are at full strength and coming off a bye week and ready to take on the 2012 national playoff qualifiers and hope to come out with a win and a bonus point to move to 2-1 and stay in the chase for a league championship. Traverse City won 89-12 over the Michigan Alumni club two weeks ago and Tri-City (2-0) bombed Kalamazoo and Flint by a total of 161-6.

"Our boys have trained hard and numbers have been fantastic since the Michigan match," coach Matt Szatkiewicz said. "The fitness levels are close and we are executing really well."

The match kicks off at 1 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Civic Center. Admission is free, and bleacher seats are available.
