Suttons Bay schools' Murray to retire

TRAVERSE CITY — Suttons Bay Public Schools Superintendent Michael Murray will retire at the end of the school year.

Murray, 64, served as the district’s superintendent for more than seven years. He worked as a Traverse City Area Public Schools principal before that.

His retirement marks the end of a 43-year career in education that started when Murray became a teacher.

Murray said the Suttons Bay school board hopes to have a replacement ready by March or April.
