Créches and carols

Arcadia — More than 150 nativity sets from around the globe will be on display Saturday, Dec. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3rd and Mill streets.

The manger scenes are from as far away as Europe and Africa and are part of a collection belonging to Stan and Karla Woell of Arcadia. The exhibit is sponsored by Chapter FF, PEO Sisterhood, a philanthropic organization that supports women.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features a self-guided tour with descriptions of each nativity. Light refreshments will be served, and decorative note cards depicting some of the scenes will be available for purchase. Admission is $5 per person.

Author at Horizon

"Bee in the Barn" author Tonya Wildfong will be signing books at Horizon Books in Traverse City on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Photos sought

Petoskey — Photographers have until Friday, Nov. 30, to enter Crooked Tree Arts Center's 32nd Annual Juried Photography Exhibition.

Michigan photographers 18 years of age and older may enter at Work entered must be dependent primarily on photographic processes and each photographer may submit up to two entries. For details, call 347-4337.
