TRAVERSE CITY — Surveillance footage from a Garfield Township Toys “R” Us shows a suspect sought by Grand Traverse County sheriff’s deputies in a store break-in.

A male suspect on Sunday at 4:15 a.m. broke out a store window and stole about $2,700 worth of electronics, authorities said. The suspect fled before sheriff’s deputies arrived but investigators obtained footage from in-store cameras.

The suspect is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, slender to medium build and wore a dark jacket, dark pants, dark gloves and a dark stocking cap.

Members of the public with information are asked to call the Grand Traverse County sheriff’s department at 231-995-5000.
