Traverse City Titans soccer team slams Ogemaw Heights

From staff reports

TRAVERSE CITY — Jack Lhamon, Alex Patten and Cam Sipple scored two goals apiece as Traverse City West remained unbeaten in the Big North Conference with an 8-0 win over Ogemaw Heights.

Tyler Porter and Jacob Casciano also tallied for the Titans (9-5-2, 8-0).

West, which started the season 0-4-1, has now gone 9-1-1 in its last 11 games.

“That was a tough way to start the season,” coach Jason Carmien said. “But we played some good teams, learned some lessons.

“We’ve picked it up (since then). The kids are getting better. They’re having fun. Hopefully, we can have a good end to the season.”

Lhamon started the onslaught Thursday night with an unassisted goal. That was followed by two Patten goals. Donovan Michael assisted on both. Porter made it 4-0 off an assist from Austin Sanders.

Lhamon registered his second goal on an assist from Porter, followed by two Sipple goals — both assisted by Michael.

Casciano’s unassisted goal closed out the scoring.

Justin Kraft and Noah Withey shared goaltending duties for the Titans, who travel to Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central on Saturday.
