Old Mission Traders relocates to Hastings

TRAVERSE CITY — A retailer who sells locally made specialty foods and gift items is closing its retail outlet downtown to relocate production operations to a site on Hastings Street.

Old Mission Traders said it will close its 215 E. Front St. outlet on Feb. 26. Owners Jamie and Nick Roster are moving production operations to a location on Hastings, where they will continue making handcrafted artisan foods.

A business website will also remain in operation.

The business, which started as the Cherry Stop, said it will make its products available downtown at retailers Red Ostrich/Great Lakes Bath and Body. A press release also states the business plans to focus on promoting its product line throughout the state.

A storewide clearance sale is planned for February to help the business prepare to relocate.
