ONEKAMA — The Glenwood Restaurant will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 10, to help fund playground equipment at Arcadia’s Township Park.
The meal will be served from 8 a.m.-noon at the restaurant, 4604 Main St., overlooking Portage Lake. The cost is $12 for adults; free for children 10 and younger. Reservations will not be taken for this event.
All proceeds including tips will be used to help buy new, universally accessible playground equipment consistent with the township’s vision for the Lake Michigan park.
BENZONIA — Abby Beale, who recently completed a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program with the Nutritional Therapy Association, will offer monthly classes at Grow Benzie.
Classes will meet at Grow Benzie, 5885 M-115, on Thursdays. Topics are: Blood Sugar Balance Nov. 14; Fatty Acid Balance Dec. 12; Mineral Balance Jan. 16; Hydration Feb. 20; Endocrine Health March 6; Cardiovascular Health April 17; Immune Health May 22; and Nutritional Detoxification June 19. TRAVERSE CITY — Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Children’s Book Fest
TRAVERSE CITY — The fourth annual Traverse City Children’s Book Festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, at the City Opera House, 106 E. Front St.
Festival hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and admission is free. There will be free crafts and entertainment by storyteller Jenifer Strauss and the Old Town Playhouse Young Company. Numerous authors also will be in attendance, along with various vendors. Proceeds from participating vendors benefit the Grand Traverse Area Literacy Council and Read Aloud.
