BENZONIA — A two-part workshop for those interested in starting their own food product business is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday, July 15 and 17, at the Grow Benzie incubator kitchen at 5885 M-115.

“Starting Your Own Food Product Business” will take place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. both nights. Participants will learn the ins and outs of how to get their business started, from experienced entrepreneurial development trainers from an established incubator kitchen in Hart.

The class is free but donations are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to pass.

Cooking classes

FRANKFORT — The Oliver Art Center’s Dinner on the Porch Cooking Classes continue with “Brunch” starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17.

Chef Jim Voltz will share some of his favorite brunch recipes and tips and techniques for making them.

Farm to table video

OLD MISSION — Chef Paul Olson of Mission Table restaurant is the focus of a new video called “Farm to Table” by filmmaker Evan Joling.

A supporter of regional growers and producers, Olson is shown shopping at the Santucci Farm for the day’s harvest, taking it back to his kitchen and crafting it into a variety of entrées, sides, desserts and artisanal cocktails on the Mission Table menu.

The 1:56-minute video features music by Michigan singer/songwriter Danny Kline and is the second in a three-video collaborative series from Northern United Brewing Company.
