Cooking Matters

TRAVERSE CITY — Cooking Matters classes, which help participants learn to make healthy meals on a budget, are being offered by Goodwill and Food Rescue.

The six-class course is taught by volunteer culinarians and nutritionists. To join, call 995-7723.

Paella time

TRAVERSE CITY — Paella in the Park is Friday, Aug. 3, at Clinch Park, 4-9:30 p.m.

Admission is $36 plus fees for 21 and older. There will be seven wineries and seven restaurants with 21 paellas, plus live music. For more information, go to www.porterhouseproductions.com.
