This recipe for a rice side dish was submitted by Sally DeWeese of Traverse City. DeWeese, a frequent contributor to the recipe of the week, says this rice dish goes well with broiled white ish or chicken.
It’s a great substitute for potatoes, she said.
Rice Side Dish
1 box Uncle Ben’s long grain rice and wild rice original recipe
1 package frozen Italian vegetables
1/2 to 1 t. of Minor’s chicken base
Cook the rice according to the recipe on the box. Cook for about 15 minutes. Add the vegetables and chicken base to taste.
