ELK RAPIDS — Northwestern Michigan College’s newest choral ensemble, Canticum Novum, will make its debut with a concert of “Musical Pairs” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Peterman Auditorium in the Elk Rapids High School on Meguzee Point Road. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and younger and seniors 62 and older, at the door.
SUTTONS BAY — Families can experience the wonders of weather from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Inland Seas Education Center. Children will transform into young meteorologists by creating their very own weather station, where they will test the clarity of the bay, take surface water temperature, air temperatures, and measure the wind speed. River clean sweep
TRAVERSE CITY — The Boardman River Clean Sweep has partnered with the Boardman River Nature Center to lead a group of volunteers as they keep the Boardman River clean from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday at the Oleson Pavilion, 1450 Cass Road. After the clean-up, an appreciation picnic will include a raffle drawing for a kayak.
