Bay Ridge book club

TRAVERSE CITY — Paid reservations are due Friday, June 7, for the next luncheon meeting of the Village at Bay Ridge Book Club.

Diver/historian Ross Richardson will discuss his book “The Search for the Westmoreland” at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the East Building dining room. 3850 Scenic Ridge. After the program and lunch, Richardson will share slides in the theater room.

School retirees

TRAVERSE CITY — Reservations are needed by Friday, June 7, for the next luncheon meeting of the Grand Traverse Association of Retired School Personnel.

The chapter will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the West Bay Beach-A Holiday Inn Resort, 615 E. Front St. The $14 cost includes the gratuity. For details or reservations, call 933-4269.

TSO tickets

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 62nd season with Maestro Kevin Rhodes conducting every performance.

The 2013-14 season opens in September and concludes in May with eight cycles and a total of 10 performances. Concerts will be in Corson Auditorium and Lars Hockstad Auditorium. Season tickets are on sale now, and single tickets go on sale Monday, June 10. For ticket information or details, call 947-7120 or visit www.traversesymphony.org.

Torch area potluck

EASTPORT — The Upper Torch Lake Association will hold its monthly potluck on Monday, June 10, at the Torch Lake Township Community Services building on U.S. 31.

A 6 p.m. social hour will be followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. All area residents are invited. Attendees should bring a favorite beverage, table service and a dish to share with a list of its ingredients.

Chick book club

TRAVERSE CITY — The Chapter Chicks Mother-Daughter Book Club will meet Monday, June 10. The group is geared toward third through fifth grade readers.

The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Community Library, 2699 Island View Road, for a potluck dinner, a craft and to discuss “Friends” by Gloria Whelan. For details or if planning to attend, call 223-7700.

Consignment items

ACME — The Music House Museum is looking for items to sell at its Antiques & Collectibles Consignment Sale.
