Traverse City — "Adventures in Greenland" is the focus of a talk by Mary Murphy today, Feb. 3, during the Women's History Project of Northwest Michigan's "Souper" Sunday.
The annual Super Bowl Sunday tradition from 2 to 4 p.m. at the History Center of Traverse City, 322 Sixth St. features a lunch of soup, bread and dessert and the program.

Super Bowl Party
Grayling — The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center, 308 Lawndale, will host a free Super Bowl Party at 6 p.m. today, Feb. 3. The community is invited. Snacks and homemade chili will be provided.
BACN food drive
Benzonia — Benzie Area Christian Neighbors' (BACN) "Chase the Chill" winter food drive is under way.
The drive continues through Saturday, Feb. 9, at grocery stores in Benzie County. Church bag drives, school drives, Scan A Buck for BACN and a virtual food drive will add to this year's effort. The goal is to raise $30,000 in cash and food, with all proceeds supporting the BACN food pantry.
Participating grocery stores are Glen's in Frankfort, Honor Food Market in Honor, Save-A-Lot and Shop and Save in Benzonia, and the Copemish Food Market, Copemish. At Glen's, Shop and Save and Save-A-Lot, a "PLU" key has been set up to allow donations to be credited to a BACN account for future shopping credits.
A "Virtual Food Drive" will allow donors to make gifts at www.benziebacn.org. This drive continues through February.
Auto, diesel night
Traverse City — Auto and diesel technicians and people interested in entering that field will have an opportunity to talk shop with other techs and see the latest technologies at an Auto and Diesel Technicians Night Tuesday, Feb. 5.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Northwestern Michigan College's Parsons-Stulen Building, 2600 Aero Park Dr. It is also a recruiting event to allow employers to showcase their workplaces and educators to provide information about career pathways and programs. Admission is free.
