TRAVERSE CITY — The St. Andrews Society of Northwest Michigan will host Robert Burns Night on Sunday.
The event starts at 5 p.m. at Sleder’s Family Tavern, 717 Randolph St. The meal features a choice of entree and side dishes, plus a side salad and dessert. A children’s menu will be available. There also will be entertainment by Clyde Buchanan, Jane Arney and Highland dancers.

KINGSLEY — Carry-out meal orders are needed today for the second annual Kingsley Community Dinner.

‘Peter andthe Wolf’
TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Symphony Orchestra’s family concert on Sunday will introduce children to Sergei Prokofiev’s classic musical children’s tale of “Peter and the Wolf.”

Wild Rose concert
BEULAH — Guitarist Jennifer Trowbridge and pianist Michael Coonrod are the featured performers for the Sunday Wild Rose Society concert.
The concert starts at 3 p.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on U.S. 31, and will be followed by a reception to meet the artists. A free-will donation will be taken to support the Wild Rose scholarship program.
Open Micmarks 10 years
TRAVERSE CITY — The Round Up Open Mic will celebrate 10 years of open mic nights at the Hayloft Inn with a free “Best of Open Mic” anniversary event.
The Round Up Open Mic has been a forum for musicians and other performers to showcase their talents. Each open mic night is recorded, edited and aired on WNMC 90.7 FM.
The anniversary show will run from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Hayloft Inn on M-72 west of Traverse City. It will feature special guests from past open mic nights, house band Sour Mash, the Round Up Repertory, and the Longest Drive Contest. An open mic will follow the scheduled performances.
‘Feast & Film’
EAST JORDAN — Martha Wagbo Farm & Education Center will host a “Feast & Film” community potluck and program on Saturday.
The wild game/local food potluck starts at 6 p.m. at the education center, 5745 N. M-66, followed at 7 p.m. by a screening of the film “The Human Planet.” There is no charge and attendees need not bring a dish to pass.
