Bob & Tom show added
TRAVERSE CITY — The City Opera House has added a second “Bob & Tom Comedy Show” to its line-up.

TRAVERSE CITY — Open auditions for the local production of “The Vagina Monologues” will be held in the main level conference room at West Hall on Northwestern Michigan College’s main campus.
Auditions are from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, and 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17. A script will be provided. Eve Ensler’s play will be presented Saturday, Feb. 22, in Milliken Auditorium at the Dennos Museum Center. A percentage of the proceeds from the performance will benefit the Traverse City Women’s Resource Center.
Camera Club meets
TRAVERSE CITY — Master-level photographer and long-time member Steve Engle will be the guest speaker at the Thursday, Jan. 16, meeting of the Traverse Area Camera Club.
Engle will discuss snow photography and share insight and tips on how to capture great images of snow or subjects in snow. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster. CHS class of ‘57 meets
TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Central High School class of 1957 will resume meeting for lunch monthly on Thursday, Jan. 16.
All classmates are invited to meet for lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Elks Club 625 Bay St.
‘Cabin Fever’ fun
KALKASKA — The Kalkaska Great Start Early Childhood Committee will host a “Cabin Fever” event for families with children ages birth to 8 years old.
The event will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Kalkaska County Library, 213 S. Brownson. Parents will learn tips and tricks to make the most of reading aloud to their children. There also will be snow-themed arts and crafts, a winter snack and a free children’s book to take home.
Art exhibit opens
FRANKFORT — The Oliver Art Center’s Furniture, Fiber and Sculpture Exhibition in honor of the late Evelyn Sorenson opens Friday, Jan. 17, with a reception.
The reception will be hosted from 5-7 p.m. at the art center, 132 Coast Guard Road, where the exhibit will be on display through Feb. 28. Sea Shanty workshop, concert
TRAVERSE CITY — Musician and sailor Tom Kastle will lead a sea shanty workshop and also give a concert in the sea shanty tradition on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The workshop will be held from 4-6 p.m. The concert of maritime music and storytelling will be hosted from 7-9 p.m. Both events take place at the Edwin and Mary Brown Boat Shop at the Maritime Heritage Alliance, 13268 S. West Bay Shore Dr.
Workshop tickets are $10 each. Concert tickets also are $10 each. Combined workshop/concert tickets are $15. Tickets are available at the MHA and Oryana Natural Foods Market on East 10th Street. Public input sought
GRAYLING — The Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center will sponsor a public input session on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
