Senior luncheon

Traverse City — The Village at Bay Ridge invites area senior citizens to a holiday luncheon. Reservations and payment are required by Thursday, Dec. 6.

The meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, in the West Building, 3950 Scenic Ridge. The Trillium Singers will provide holiday entertainment.

Workshop on iPads

Traverse City — Cheri Breadon and Kathleen Maxwell will offer a workshop on various topics for iDevices on Friday, Dec. 7.

The workshop will be held at the Peninsula Community Library, 2699 Island View Road. The schedule is: basics, 9:15-10 a.m.; messaging/email 10-11 a.m.; camera/Facetime 11 a.m.-noon; and ebooks noon-1 p.m. Participants should bring their fully-charged iDevice and necessary passwords.

Benzie Dems meet

Benzonia — All Benzie County Democrats and friends are invited to a winter holiday celebration on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grow Benzie, 5885 M-115. It is a combination potluck dinner and benefit for the Benzie County Baby Pantry. Dinner will be followed by socializing and live music by the "Band." Some beverages and food basics will be provided.

Guests are encouraged to bring a dish to pass and may bring their own alcoholic or other beverages. Donations will be accepted for the baby pantry.

Gallery open house

Beulah — Live for Art Gallery will host a holiday open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.

Visitors can browse the gallery to see what's new from more than a dozen artists with a connection to the Great Lakes states, many of whom are local to northern Michigan.
