‘Little Mermaid’

TRAVERSE CITY — The Old Town Playhouse Young Company will stage Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.”

Live music, theater

TRAVERSE CITY — Performances of the Parallel 45 theater company’s production of Charles Marowitz’s “The Shrew” continues tonight at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. at the InsideOut Gallery.

The show, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” will be followed by live music and mingling with the cast. Because of sexual situations presented in the play, producers suggest mature audiences only attend.

‘Guys and Dolls’

TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City Central High School’s Music Department’s production of the Tony Award-winning musical “Guys and Dolls” is underway.

The play will be staged at the CHS auditorium, 1150 Milliken Dr., at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Performances also will be presented at 7 p.m. Nov. 21-23; and at 3 p.m. Nov. 24.

Holiday book sale

BENZONIA — Visitors to the Holiday Book Sale today and Saturday at the Benzonia Public Library can enjoy refreshments while shopping a large selection of gently used adult and children’s books and puzzles.

Sale hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. today, and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, at Mills Community House, 891 Michigan Ave. Proceeds benefit the children’s computer fund. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Benzonia Public Library. For details, call 882-4111.
