FRANKFORT — Trinity Lutheran Church, 955 James St., will host its Scandinavian Luncheon and Bazaar on Saturday.

The event will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The meal features Norwegian meatballs, Swedish potato sausage, a variety of side dishes and a Scandinavian dessert cookie. Bazaar items include Rosemall items, cribbage boards, other handmade items and used books. Proceeds benefit local, state and national charities. Call 352-4531 for details.

Holiday dance

SUMMIT CITY — A Holiday Country Dance will be hosted on Saturday.

The evening will start with a soup supper at 6 p.m. followed by dancing to music by a live band from 7-10 p.m. at the Summit City Grange Hall, 3060 Factory St. Donations are appreciated. For details, call 263-4499.

Funk Arts Fest

TRAVERSE CITY — The community is invited to shop locally for holiday gifts at the Funk Arts Fest on Saturday at the Grand Traverse Circuit, 225 W. 14th St.

The event will be held from 4-10 p.m. and features a variety of crafts and live music by Dede and the Dreamers, Miriam Pico, Deep Blue Water Samba, The Sick Notes, Jimmy Olsen and event host Fuki Papa. Admission is $5 and proceeds support the local arts and the Father Fred Foundation. Monetary and canned good donations also will be accepted for the Father Fred Foundation.

TAAG holiday show

ALDEN — The Torch Area Artisans Guild (TAAG) will host its annual Holiday Arts and Craft Show on Saturday.

Show hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Helena Township Community Center, 8751 Helena Road. Lunch will be available and there also will be a bake sale and door prizes. Admission is free.

Music ‘On the Porch’

TRAVERSE CITY —Americana duo The Bergamot will perform music “on the porch” Sunday at Sleder’s Family Tavern, 717 Randolph St.

The concert starts at 4 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance at Sleder’s, Oryana Natural Foods Market, Brilliant Books, Zamar Guitar or by calling 947-9213. Tickets are $20 at the door.

Holiday stories, crafts

TRAVERSE CITY — Children of all ages are invited to the East Bay Branch Library on Saturday for Thanksgiving stories and crafts.

The free event will start at 1:30 p.m. at the library, 1989 Three Mile Road. It will feature the story “Ox-Cart Man” by Donald Hall, seasonal stories and a turkey centerpiece craft project. Call 922-2085 to learn more.

Magic show

TRAVERSE CITY — Ben Whiting will stage his original theatrical magic show one night only at InsideOut Gallery, 229 Garland St.

Whiting will perform “Magic for Humans” at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 at www.mynorthtickets.com. Space is limited and advance purchase is recommended.

Welcome Christmas

ONEKAMA — The Christmas season starts Saturday in Onekama.

Holiday activities from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. includes an arts and crafts show, a chili cook-off from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Onekama Originals bidding on decorated trees 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and the Celebration of Lights at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Portage Lake Association.
