NORTHPORT — Award winning Leelanau author, Donald Lystra, will read from his new collection of short stories, “Something that Feels like Truth” beginning at 7:30 p.m, Thursday, Sept. 19 at Dog Ears Books.

 

Spielman at Saturn

GAYLORD — Lori Nelson Spielman, author of “The Life List” will visit Saturn Booksellers at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17.

This event is free and open to the public, but a free ticket is required.

TRAVERSE CITY — Horizon Books will host book signings by the following authors on Saturday, Sept. 21:

• Kris Yankee, author of “Cracking the Code: Spreading Rumors,” 12-2 p.m.

• C. M. Michaels, author of “Dangerous Waters,” 2-4 p.m.

Letters home

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Area District Library will welcome Teresa Irish, author of “A Thousand Letters Home: One WWII Soldier’s Story of War, Love, and Life,” to the Main Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Irish will present the inspirational and life-affirming story of “The Journey of the Letters,” a found collection of nearly 1,000 letters written by her father during his WWII service.
