Ladies’ Spring Fling

TRAVERSE CITY — St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop will host an evening of shopping and socializing on Thursday.

The inaugural Ladies’ Spring Fling will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the thrift shop, 1207 Woodmere Ave. A $5 donation at the door is requested and includes food, special shopping discounts and a silent auction. Men also are welcome. For details, call, 947-8466.

 

My Sister’s House benefit

TRAVERSE CITY — Spa Grand Traverse, Bowers Harbor Vineyards and Robert Frost Fine Footwear are co-sponsoring a benefit for My Sister’s House.

My Sister’s House in Kingsley serves young women who are homeless, at high risk of becoming homeless or who have “aged out” of the foster care system. It provides a stable, family-like home for young women in Grand Traverse and the surrounding region.

“Fashion, Wine & Relaxation” will be hosted Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Robert Frost Fine Footwear, 217 E. Front St.

It features spa treatments, wine tasting, appetizers, a fashion show and more. Tickets are $15 each in advance or at the door. For details or advance tickets, call Spa Grand Traverse, 534-6750.

 

Pathfinder open house

TRAVERSE CITY — The community can step into the shoes of a Pathfinder student at an Immersion Open House at the Pathfinder School on Thursday.

Group tour times are 10-11 a.m. or 1-2 p.m. at the school, 11930 S. West Bay Shore Dr. Participants will travel to the school’s log cabin classrooms, explore the campus and Pathfinder’s academic program. Art Attack

KINGSLEY — Kingsley Area School students will display their art and writing at the fourth annual Art Attack Show.

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade will share their art and poetry on Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Kingsley Branch of the Traverse Area District Library, 213 S. Brownson. T
