Montessori open house
SUTTONS BAY — Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy will host an open house Tuesday, April 22.
The charter school is on the Suttons Bay Schools campus.
It is a tuition-based preschool and a tuition-free kindergarten-sixth grade school.

GRAYLING — The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will host a community Easter dinner on Thursday, April 24.
The meal will be served from 4-6 p.m. at the Grayling Senior Center, 308 Lawndale.

Early literacy workshop
TRAVERSE CITY — Teachers, daycare providers, librarians and caregivers are invited to a free “High Quality Early Literacy Programs Using the Mother Goose on the Loose Method” workshop with Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen.
The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Traverse Area District Library, 610 Woodmere Ave.
Participants will discuss ways in which healthy child development is strengthened through purposeful utilization of music, movement, language, art, repetition, ritual and play to create an optimal learning environment.
