Lupus support

TRAVERSE CITY — Susan Wischman from Munson’s Advanced Care Planning Department will discuss the “Five Wishes” document at the Wednesday, July 17, meeting of the Lupus Support Group.

Driver class

TRAVERSE CITY — The AARP Driver Safety Program will offer a classroom driver refresher course for drivers 50 and older on Thursday and Friday, July 18-19.

The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day at the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging, 520 W. Front St. The cost is $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members. A class also will be offered Aug. 15-16. Classes during July and August are only $5 for current and retired educators and school personnel.

Lecture series

EASTPORT — The Wilkinson Homestead Historical Society Lecture Series continues on Monday, July 15.

Charles Arnold will give a program titled “The Remarkable Repair of the Zilwaukee Bridge” at 7:30 p.m. at the Torch Lake Township Hall, U.S. 31. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
