Taste ofGreece dinner
TRAVERSE CITY — The 13th annual Taste of Greece dinner, hosted by The Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church, will be held from 3:30-7 p.m., today at St. Francis High School, 123 E. 11th St.
Dine in or take out service is available. Grecian specialties including souvlaki (shish-ke-bob), dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), tiropita (cheese pie), spanakopita (spinach pie), roasted greek potatoes, greek salad and baklava (honied pastry with nuts) will be served.

SOUTH BOARDMAN — East Boardman United Methodist Church will host a Strawberry Social on Friday.
Strawberry shortcake, ice cream, Sloppy Joes, sandwiches and beverages will be served from 5-8p.m. at the church, 2080 Boardman Road. There will also be handmade bazaar items and Rada cutlery for sale.
United Methodist Chicken BBQ
TRAVERSE CITY — The Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church will hold its annual Chicken BBQ from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The menu will include grilled chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, homemade desserts, Annie’s cherry whatchamacallit and lemonade and coffee.
Takeouts are available. Free will donations will be accepted. The church is located at 16426 Center Road. For more information, call 223-4393.
Relay for LifeBake sale
KALEVA — Kaleva Meats will host a Relay for Life Bake Sale, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday sponsored by Kaleva Crusaders and Friends Relay for Life Team. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

OLD MISSION — Lighthouse Friends in cooperation with the Old Mission Men’s Breakfast Club will offer a pancake brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Sunday at the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church.
Pancakes, sausage and eggs will be served for a free will offering and proceeds will be used for preservation and restoration of the Mission Point Lighthouse.
