Taste of Greece dinner

TRAVERSE CITY — The 13th annual Taste of Greece dinner, hosted by The Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church, will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 26 at St. Francis High School, 123 E. 11th St.

Dine in or take out service is available. Grecian specialties including souvlaki (shish-ke-bob), dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), tiropita (cheese pie), spanakopita (spinach pie), roasted greek potatoes, greek salad and baklava (honied pastry with nuts) will be served.

NMC concert at Music House

ACME — The Northwestern Michigan College Concert Band will be present a concert on the lawn of the Music House Museum at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 26. The event is free; goodwill donations would be appreciated and shared between the Music House and NMC Band.

Young filmmakers fest

LELAND — The second Young Michigan Filmmakers Festival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m., on Saturday, July 5, at the Old Art Building. More than 90 films were submitted from all over the state via YouTube, Vimeo, or on DVD.

Admission is free, but contributions are greatly appreciated. Seating in the Old Art Building is limited to 200. There will be a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. with live music and an intermission. The awards reception will immediately follow the film screenings.

Lake Ann homecoming

LAKE ANN — The community is invited to the 20th annual Lake Ann Homecoming Celebration to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 5, in downtown Lake Ann.
