Tai Chi in the Park

TRAVERSE CITY — White Crane Tai Chi Association will meet for Sun style Tai Chi practice at 11 a.m., every Tuesday, June 17 through Aug. 19 at the Civic Center, Titus Road entrance, weather permitting.

A Matterof Honor meeting

TRAVERSE CITY — The public is invited to a town hall meeting conducted by A Matter of Honor from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the State Theatre in downtown Traverse City. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

AMOH organizes quarterly town hall meetings to help educate the public about post traumatic stress disorder. There is no charge for admission however, a $5 donation is suggested.

Fishin’ Tackle Choir

BEULAH — “The Four Man Fishin’ Tackle Choir” will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, on Lincoln Road of US-31.

A free will offering will help support the community project that has helped repair more than 40 homes in Benzie County.

Chicken BBQ

TRAVERSE CITY — The Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church will hold their annual Chicken BBQ from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., on June 28. The menu will include grilled chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, homemade desserts, Annie’s cherry whatchamacallit and lemonade and coffee.

Take outs are available. Free will donations will be accepted. The church is located at 16426 Center Road. For more information, call 223-4393.

Treating sinusitis

TRAVERSE CITY — Kevin L. Gietzen, DO and Melissa L. Somers, MD from Petoskey Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, in conjunction with McLaren Northern Michigan will offer a free community lecture that looks at ways to treat chronic sinusitis symptoms with the Balloon Sinuplasty System.

The event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m., on June 25 at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center, 237 East Front St. Registration for this lecture is required by calling 800-248-6777.
