FLOW fundraiser

TRAVERSE CITY — A three day FUNdraiser, on behalf of local environmental group FLOW (For Love Of Water), will be held June 17-19 at Yoga for Health Education, on the Old State Hospital grounds. A wide variety of Yoga classes, along with introductions to Tai Chi, Feldenkrais and meditation are on the agenda for area residents to sample.

Each class is 60 minutes and designed to introduce people of all ages to the benefits of non-competitive exercise. The $5, cash only, fee will be donated to FLOW.

Strawberry class

BENZONIA — Britt Uecker, Grow Benzie’s greenhouse manager, will offer a class “Berry Best Homegrown Strawberries” at 10 a.m., on June 18 and 25, as part of the Preserving your Harvest series. Freezing and preparing jams and jellies will be covered. All classes are held at Grow Benzie in the incubator kitchen classroom, 5885 M-115.

The per class fee is $20; class size is limited and preregistration is required five days before each class.

Watercolor workshop

EAST JORDAN — Raven Hill Discovery Center will host a Luke Buck watercolor workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27.

This workshop is designed for beginner, intermediate, or advanced watercolor painters and will focus on techniques for watercolor painting. Early enrollment is recommended, as space is limited.
