Workers are not required to be skilled in the building trades, though experience will be helpful and appreciated. The purpose of the workshop is to teach the techniques and train owners and interested members of the public how to do restoration work on timber and frame structures.

Nuts 4 Nature camp

BEULAH — The Benzie Conservation District will host of Nuts 4 Nature, a summer environmental day camp for children ages nine through 12.

Beginning June 23 through June 26, area youth will have the opportunity to identify bugs, make discoveries in the dirt, hike outside and make nature-inspired art. Each day will have a unique theme and a special guest presenter. Youth are invited to come for one or for all four days.

The camp will run from 1 to 4 p.m. each day and will include snacks, and outdoor hikes. The cost for the camp is $10 per day or $35 for all four days. Discounts are available for multiple family members.
