---- — FOURTEEN NURSES received diplomas at Traverse City State Hospital. At the annual graduating exercises of the class of nurses at the Traverse City State Hospital there were fourteen who received diplomas. The chapel was handsomely decorated in the colors of the class, green and white. Potted plants were arranged on the platform and the different windows. The class flower was the white rose and these were worn by the members. The chapel was filled with the friends of the graduates.

There are a number of SMALL FLOWER BEDS that are being set out and they add so much to the attractiveness to the street corners and places that otherwise would be unsightly. These are the ones at the Mercantile Company, the one next the Record-Eagle office and the new one that Weighmaster Jobbett has made at the south side of the city market.

BIG TIME EXPECTED – Old Settlers are coming in great numbers. – Several hundred names have been added to membership lists this year. There will be the largest attendance at the Old Settlers’ Association that meets here Friday of any gathering in years. More people have planned to be here. There are several hundred more new names that have been added to the membership list. This will be the time to meet those who have not been seen for many a year, for in the course of human events some will pass away and they will not be here at the future meetings. The reception committee will be present all day and are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Beadle, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Lardie, Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Moffatt, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Hobbs, Mrs. J.K.
