Cottage Coffee series

TRAVERSE CITY — Bill Smith, bestselling author of “Chickadees at Night” will be the featured speaker at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Hawthorn Cottage at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

This is part of the Cottage Coffee series.

Smith recently published “The Chickadee Spirit.”

He will have both Chickadee books at the presentation and will be available for signing.

TRAVERSE CITY — Horizon Books wil host a book signings by Linda Crawford, author of “Dottie Raccoon Tales,” from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16.

Traverse City resident, Dick Evans, contributed illustrations based on a raccoon that moved into a northern Michigan neighborhood.

Wooten at library

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Area District Library main branch will host poet Terry Wooten at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13.

He will discuss his Elder Project, chosen by the Michigan Historical Society for the State History Award in Education 2013.

The program is free and open to the public.

The library is located at 610 Woodmere Ave.
