TRAVERSE CITY — Flannel John is back with another cookbook for men.
“Flannel John’s Woods & Water Cookbook: Critters, Fritters, Chili & Beer” by author Tim Murphy, offers more than 110 recipes. A 23-year radio veteran who spent 17 years hosting morning radio shows in communities that included Traverse City, Murphy features decidedly rustic meals in his cookbook, including Rack of Raccoon and Rattlesnake Chili. Traditional dishes include burgers, stews, chilis, chicken and treats for hunting dogs. Beer is featured as an ingredient in some recipes.
