Art and wine

Glen Arbor — A benefit for the Glen Arbor Art Association will kick off the Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association "Taste the Passion" weekend.

"Art from Michigan's Wine Country" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Mountain Flowers Lodge at The Homestead. Advance tickets are $20 each and include one glass of wine, small plates and coffee. Tickets at the door are $25.

Dementia group

Counselor Janis Duwe is providing a discussion group for anyone who is losing a loved one to dementia.

Starting Feb. 5 and running eight weeks from 3:30 to 5 p.m., the group will follow chapters from the book, "Loving Someone Who Has Dementia." There is no fee to participate, except for purchasing the book.
