Traverse City — Woofers on the Run will sponsor a free community dog walk to celebrate National Walk Your Pet Month.
The walk will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center, 1213 W. Civic Center Dr. Participants should meet at the playscape, and bring a leash, friendly dogs and poop bags.

Suttons Bay — Inland Seas Education Association and the ISEA Boat Shop volunteers are offering eight scholarships to Traverse Area Community Sailing for 10 to 16 year-old students interested in participating in ISEA's "Build and Sail" program, a free boat building class.
The first eight students who register and attend the mandatory orientation class from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 26, will receive TACS scholarships. Students will build two Optimist Pram sailboats in a class from 10 a.m. to noon nine Saturdays starting Feb. 2, at the ISEA Boat Shop. Students, accompanied by a parent or guardian, must attend five of the nine sessions to receive a TAC scholarship. The program is free.

Traverse City — Saldaje will give a CD release concert Saturday, Jan. 26, at InsideOut Gallery.
The ukulele duo includes Melonie Steffes and Shaun Anchak. They will perform in support of their CD "Let Them Dance" at 8 p.m. at the gallery, 229 Garland St.

Enrichment for kids
Petoskey — Classes for children at Crooked Tree Arts Center include "Let's Eat," a cooking class for children in grades one through three.
"Let's Eat" will meet 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 26, at the arts center, 461 E. Mitchell St. It includes tips, tricks and recipes for children and their favorite adult.
Additional "Just Us!" classes include cupcake making/decorating for grades one through four, Saturday, Feb. 2; and West African Drummin' for grades one through five, Saturday, March 9.
