NIA fitness class
Traverse City — A 10-week NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) class will offered Tuesdays starting Jan. 15.
The class combines martial arts, dance and healing arts. It will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Munson Community Health Center's classroom D, 550 Munson Ave. The cost is $109. Registration is required; call Northwestern Michigan College, 995-1700.
Acid reflux solution
Traverse City — Munson Medical Center general surgeon Michael Nizzi, D.O., will discuss a new non-invasive surgical solution for chronic heartburn in a program from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.

Music at InsideOut
Traverse City — InsideOut Gallery, 229 Garland St., will host musical guests Dana Cooper and Harper & Midwest Kind.
Cooper has performed on Austin City Limits, Mountain Stage and the Kerrville Folk Festival. He will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the gallery's Outre Lounge. Admission is free.
Australia's Harper & Midwest Kind will bring world blues fusion to the gallery from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. Tickets are $15 in advance at the gallery, Oryana Natural Foods Market, Cedar City Market and online at www.mynorthtickets.com. Tickets at the door are $20.
